1960年 神戸生まれ。花の生産者としてブラジルへ移住。その後、サンパウロの花屋で働いた経験から、花で表現することの喜びに目覚める。第一園芸に入社後は、ウェディングやパーティ装飾、オーダーメイドアレンジメントのご依頼のほか、さまざまなイベントに招致される機会も多く、国内外におけるデモンストレーションやワークショップなど、日本を代表するフラワーデザイナーの一人として、幅広く活動している。

Born in Kobe in 1960. After moving to Brazil as a flower farmer, Arai worked at a florist in São Paulo where he discovered the joys of flower design. After returning to Japan in 1988, he joined Daiichi-Engei Co., Ltd. He designs wedding and party décor, order-made flower arrangements, as well as hosts various demonstrations and workshops. He is one of the leading flower designers representing Japan.
