The cases where personal information is requested and the purposes of its use, and the purposes of use of retained personal data

1. Purposes of use

Daiichi Engei Co., Ltd. (the "Company") will use the acquired personal information for the following purposes.

  • (1) Management of each member customer provided by the Company
  • (2) Offer information on products, events, and services, etc. via e-mail newsletters, direct mail, e-mail, etc.

2. Voluntary provision of personal information

  • (1) The Company will obtain personal information by lawful and fair means, and necessary items such as the purpose of use of personal information will be clearly indicated at the time of acquisition, or will be announced on our Internet homepage.
  • (2) When the Company obtains personal information indirectly, we will disclose the purpose of use of personal information and other necessary matters on our Internet homepage.

3. Consignment of personal information

The Company may entrust the personal information received to a third party in order to facilitate the purposes of use described in 1. In such a case, we will check the security level of the relevant contractor, and a confidentiality agreement shall be concluded for entrustment.

4. Provision of personal information to third parties

  • (1) We may provide personal information to third parties, such as our group companies and business partners, within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use described in 1. above, in addition to cases based on the provisions of laws and regulations.
  • (2) The information to be provided will be limited to the minimum necessary items for each business in addition to your name, address, and telephone number.

In order to provide useful information and services to our customers, this website introduces links to other websites. The Company assumes no responsibility for the management of personal information collected on linked websites. Please use such websites at your own discretion.

6. Measures taken for safety control measures

We will comply with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines, and take necessary and appropriate measures (hereinafter referred to as "security control measures") to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal data that we handle, and to otherwise safely control personal data, as follows:

The Information Security Manager is responsible for evaluating and improving safety control measures by submitting an annual report on the handling of personal information.
    In addition, we have a system in place to ensure that all employees (including contractors and temporary employees) comply with internal regulations regarding safety control measures, and to report and notify the person in charge if they become aware of any facts or signs that an employee is in violation of the law or internal regulations.

    In areas where personal data is handled, the Company manages the employee access control and keeps equipment, etc., containing personal data locked.

7. Disclosure of Personal Information

In addition to complaints and consultations, you can request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or suspension of use of the personal information you have entrusted to us. The procedures and contact information for such requests are as follows.

    1. Complaints and consultation regarding personal information are accepted by telephone, e-mail, or in writing.
    * Inquiries by e-mail will be accepted from the "Inquiries" window of our website.
  • (2) Procedures for disclosure, etc. of personal information
    • 1. Disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, and suspension of use of personal information are only accepted by postal mail using our designated "Application for Disclosure of Personal Information" .
    • 2. The "Application for Disclosure of Personal Information" can be printed out on our website or mailed from our office upon request by phone, etc.
    • 3. The "Application for Disclosure of Personal Information" must be accompanied by a photocopy of a driver's license or health insurance card to confirm the applicant's identity with the insured person's symbol, number, etc. masked in advance. (The same applies below,)
    • 4. If the application is made by a representative, in addition to the identification documents of the representative as described in 3. above, the following documents for the confirmation of the representative are also required.
    • (ⅰ) In the case of a legal representative
    • Documents verifying that the applicant is a legal representative (A copy of the family register or, in the case of a person with parental authority, a copy of the health insurance card with dependents' names written is also acceptable.

    • (ⅱ) In the case of a proxy by power of attorney
    • A copy of a letter of attorney and a copy of document to verify the identity of the representative (a copy of the representative's driver's license or health insurance card)
  • (3) Fees and method of collection
    In the case of a request for disclosure or notification of purpose of use, a fee of 1,500 yen per request. A postal money order with fixed amount of 1,500 yen (issued by a post office) must be enclosed with the request documents. No fee is required for requests for correction or discontinuance of use.
    *However, customers will bear the cost of postage to the Company and the cost of issuing a postal money order with fixed amount.
    *If the fee is insufficient, or not enclosed, we will notify you to that effect. If payment is not made within the prescribed period, we will assume that no request for disclosure has been made.
  • (4) Method of response to requests for disclosure, etc.
    We respond to you in writing at the address you have provided on the Personal Information Disclosure Request.
  • (5) "Purpose of use" of the personal information obtained in connection with a request for Disclosure, etc.
    Personal information obtained in connection with a request for Disclosure, etc. shall be handled only to the extent necessary for the request for Disclosure, etc.
  • (6) Non-disclosure of "Retained Personal Information”
    The following cases will not be disclosed. In addition, even in the case of non-disclosure, the prescribed fee will be charged. 
    • 1. When the identity of the customer cannot be confirmed, such as when the address on the request form does not match the address on the documents used to confirm the identity of the customer
    • 2. When the right of representation cannot be confirmed for a request by a representative
